To have one of your favorite creators design an outfit with you in mind is an honor. For it to be so spot-on as something you’d love, and drop-dead gorgeous, is fully squee-worthy. What I’m trying to say here is: ZOMG HYA MADE AN OUTFIT NAMED AFTER ME AND IT’S AAAWWWESOMEEE!
*coughs*
In so many words.
The Mourna set from Silent Sparrow is part dancing silks, part burlesque. I love the sleek, velvety, button-up corset, the subtle little ruffles peeping out, the fingerless gloves, and so many other great little details. And it is available in Hyasynth’s usual complement of rich colors that make it impossible to choose a favorite.

I’m wearing another one of the beautiful new Mosaic skins from Nomine. And to complete the circle of my vanity, I had no choice but to choose one of the Mourna makeup styles.
I’m going to wrap this up, before I have to start resizing my hair to fit on my gigantic head.

I adore a good textile pattern in SL, so these new Olive sweater dresses from Ducknipple had me frothing at the ads. They come in a variety of stripes and colors, so you should definitely check them out. I love Ducknipple for their lovely textures, and for their prim clothing and accessories that always fit me perfectly right out of the box. Belts, especially, take a good bit of fiddling of linked prims on my part before I can wear them, but what you see here was edited not one bit.
This dress immediately reminded me of the ubiquitous, beloved Old Boots from Shiny Things. I marvel that with all the advancements in sculpts we have now, these boots can still hold their own and hold it well. How many other pairs of shoes from years ago would still look good today?

Also take note - fabulous new skins from Nomine! The Mosaic line is a departure from what I’m used to from Nomine, as they bring a touch more smooth realism. I personally love both styles, but get a hankering for each at different times. And of course these skins come in the Nomine skin tones and makeups that you know and love - including some previously Limited Edition makeups! I’m particularly in love with the lips; just look at how soft and plump they are.

I realized I have all these neat undies that never (and I mean never) get seen by another person. So I decided to blog some of my recent favorites. Brace yourself for gratuitous bum shots.
Since I’m showing so much skin, I decided to make it an interesting one. This is the Manna-Kin skin from MIASNOW, with tintable scales tattoo from HUZ colored to match each cool makeup.

Corset from Rotten Toe, with cute little prim frill and bow attachments. I love how clothes from Rotten Toe seem to accentuate a thicker type avatar

Elegantly deconstructed Valerian undies from Plastik, along with the fab new posture collar. Like everything from Plastik, these are available in a whole slew of rich prints and colors. The collars come plain, with straps, with buckles, or with feathers. I’m really in love with the collar and I’ve been wearing one of them pretty much nonstop since I got my paws on ‘em. It’s divinely sculpted to fit around the neck and shoulder area perfectly.

Ok, this is a bikini. But it could totally be worn as undies. The adorable batkini is available in a billionty colors, and it has these cute little prim ties to really finish it off.

Bye-Bye, Mein Lieber Herr.

Farewell, mein Lieber Herr.

It was a fine affair,

But now it’s over.

And though I used to care,

I need the open air.

You’re better off without me,
Mein Herr.

Just a quick Look of the Day.
I apparently wasn’t quite through with the Valentine’s look yet, and I’m like a dog with a bone when I latch onto a theme.

Did I overdo it with the hearts? Yeah, probably.

Munchflower Zaius has released a whole slew of very pretty Valentine’s-day themed stuff lately at Nomine.
This new dress is not one of them, but it still puts me in mind of that day for some reason. I think because it’s deceptively cute, while still capturing the slightly macabre nature of giving out pieces of your heart to those you fancy.

Lassitude & Ennui has released some fabulous new sculpted ankle boots! How exciting is that?? I hope this heralds more new releases to come from one of my favorite stores of all time. (No pressure or anything, Jackal.)
The Imogene boots come in a variety of tantalizing colors, each with a HUD for customizing button and heel color.

After Grady’s beautiful last couple of posts featuring W&Y, they were definitely on my list to stop by. I was pleased to find that the shop has really grown since I last visited! (It had probably been about a year since I gave them a look-see.) I was… less than pleased to see that they’re releasing their hair no-mod now. I have a few reservations about blogging no-mod hair. But as I’m seeing this restriction more and more lately, I don’t see how I can avoid it and still show you the lovely craftsmanship and variety that I find.
But hair-makers, PLEASE: if you’re going to make your hair no-mod, at least use the resize script that allows you to fiddle individual prims! There is such a wide array of avatar types in SL, you really limit your sales if you don’t give customers some way to fit the product to their avatars.
W&Y sell their hair in scripted hair-packs, where you can change between 4 colors via popup menu. Now that’s a feature I can support!

…hanging in the old basketball court in Suffugium.

Dancing to Giu’s tracks…

with Juana and Lorek and Neo and Sandusky and Apo and Wise and Xeno and Slash…

…when I started to feel sort of…faint.

OBVIOUSLY time for some “stimulant”.

ahhhhhhhhhhhh……..whoa!

THAT says hello!

The evening looks even BRIGHTER now!

Everything comes and goes

marked by lovers and styles of clothes.

Things that you held high and told yourself were true,

lost or changing as the days come down to you.

Down to you.

You’re a kind person, you’re a cold person too.

It’s down to you.

It all comes down to you.
