Strange Pixels

I had planned to avoid the typical Halloweeny look, but these great pieces hit my radar just under the wire, and it cannot be denied.

This hat from Dark Eden is so crookedy-twisty adorable.

( I did remove some sculpted pumpkins bits which, while very cute, just didn’t match the ensemble.)

I haven’t even begun to show you all the possible options, layers, and combinations that come with Schadenfreude’s Strix set.   Consider it at least a dozen awesome outfits in one.

Now it’s late, and I should get to bed.  I do have a party to get ready for tomorrow…. *Pointedly stares at previous post, then at you.*

I have a few Halloween events to attend this year, so I’ll be posting my costumes after the respective soirees occur.

My first ensemble was for the Goblin Masque, hosted by Siyu Suen of Illusions.

Anticipation for this event ran high, because I knew from past experience that Siyu’s partygoers put an unbelievable amount of creativity and effort into their garb.

Although the theme for the evening was dark fae and goblinses, I decided to deck out in all white and silver.

The real challenge was to get myself under the 200-prim limit for the evening (enforced by Siyu for the sake of lag reduction.)  After picking apart each item and removing every extraneous bit of prim I could find, I’m happy to report that I came in at exactly 199 prims.  For a dirty little prim-hoarder such as I am, I’m wildly proud of myself.

This ensemble also won me title of Goblin Queen for the evening!

My prize?  Only the most awesome mask ever shaped from a prim.

*gloat gloat gloat*

But fret not, for Siyu will be releasing this mask (as well as a male version) for sale today.

After my last post, I realized that I had not yet devoted any serious fangirlism to Schadenfreude.  Which is puzzling, considering I own almost everything in the shop.  So I’m here to correct that.

The Houxin ensemble (shown in white) is designed to complement these Heart skins from [][]Trap[][].   These items have been sitting in my inventory for a while, lacking that something to make it feel complete.   Then on my last visit to Schadenfreude, I discovered that Allegory is now venturing into hair!  I can’t wait to see how this progresses, because her first piece makes me so happy… you know… down inside.  It takes something special to get Mourna into a mohawk, lemme tell ya.

I’ve added an open skirt from <<Discord>>, because I’m completely smitten with that look right now.

One thing I really adore about Schadenfreude (besides the fantastic pieces, the reasonable prices, and the kickass store build)  is the *options* that are available with each piece.  When I say every piece is included on every possible combination of layers, plus extras, I’m not exaggerating in the slightest.   Wonderful for mix and match, accomodating tattoos, etc.  I dearly wish every shop offered this.
