and even forgetting still has a shape in the kingdom of transformation.
When something’s let go of it circles,
and though we are rarely the center of the circle,
it draws around us it’s unbroken, marvelous curve.

Categories: Accessories, Art, Boots, Costumes, Fantasy Clothing, Grady Echegaray, Hair, Women's ClothingI set out to create an “autumn fairy” ensemble, for a pinup calendar I’m taking part in. (I’m Miss. November, if you’re wondering.) So there I was, trying to think of where to begin, when the notice for this new Autumn Leaf Headpiece from Evie’s Closet falls into my lap. Eureka! And what do I see immediately upon rezzing? This lovely fairy outfit in a variety of colors! (I picked the red because of the Autumn color scheme, but it I was sorely tempted by the other colors as well. They’re all quite lovely.)
Never has a themed shoot worked out so perfectly!
I love this set because of all the options, and I’ve tried to show most of them to you here. Clothing layers from risque to modest, 4 different skirt styles, and a matching pair of wings. The wings I’m wearing are not the ones from this set. I chose a pair from Seven’s Selections because of the finer control they give me over animation, size, and flexiness. However the matching wings are perfect, so I don’t want anyone to think I’m not wearing them because I didn’t like them.
Munchflower has released a line of Equinox skins at Nomine that are just too adorable, with a sprinkling of freckles across the bridge of the nose. They come in a whole slew of lush makeup colors, and of course I’ll be showing more of them here in future posts because Munch is my skin goddess.
This leaf jewelry set from Shiny Things is an old favorite of mine, and I was very pleased to find out that my SLink feet could be worn with the matching anklets.
(And if you’re interested to see how my pinup turned out… *ahem* I ended up not wearing very much of the outfit. >.> )

If you go out in the woods today
You’d better go in disguise
If you go out in the woods today
You’d better not go alone
It’s lovely out in the woods today
But safer to stay at home

Spinning as she sprawls
Thank God the curtains fall
Her spring is sprung
And dances done
Spinning as she sprawls
Thank God the curtains fall
In the morning, he twists the key quite hard
And ticking, she’s brought to boil
“Relevée, my sweet, on point, en garde!”
Her innards twang as they uncoil
“Gentlemen, this fallen angel is the illegitimate daughter of art and science. A modern marvel of engineering, clockworks elevated to the very natural process which even now is in your blood, racing, your eyes flashing at such irreproachable beauty. Here is Gaia, here is Eve, here is Lilith, and I stand before you as her father. Sprung fully-formed from my brow, dewy and sweet; she can be yours and yours again, for her flesh is the incorruptible pale to be excused from the wages of sin.”
-”Herr Drosselmeyer’s Doll,” Abney Park
So I wake up every morning looking like this and feeling like crap.
But that’s the good part, it always gets worse.
By noon, much worse.
And by afternoon, I generally look like this.
Hunting brainz is a hard job.
By midnight, I’m toast.
It’s the working life.
In the morning, I get up and do it all again.
Isn’t there a Greek Myth about this?

Ok, that was a lot of adjectives. And yet, still not enough to express how much I adore these silks.
(I conjectured all kinds of meaning for the name Hedera when I first saw them. I’d finally settled on some woodland nymph or nature goddess. Then I Googled it, and found it that it was actually a kind of ivy! Which is, of course, incredibly fitting.)
This set comes with top and bottom clothing layers, a prim leather loincloth, and a zillion different prim vine parts that twine about different parts of your body. They are modifiable and are fitted quite easily. But truly, not much fitting was needed. I’m not sure what kind of magic Siyu used to coil these so perfectly around the avatar shape, but perfectly she did it.
They also look.. *ahem*… quite nice without the top.
The beautiful tattoos are part of the impressive new Sphinx skin from Trap. I picked it up at the Harajukubox Skin Fair, which ended so quickly I didn’t get a chance to blog it first. But Selos assures me that they will be available in the store today-ish.
The combination of the silks, the skin, and the faun bits is just too perfect. I feel like a member of a hidden forest tribe who paint their bodies with ash and minerals and run around with bows and arrows and pan pipes and whatnot. It’s very idyllic, I assure you.

And it is a lot of fun to put an outfit together with two sets of eyes… we end up with something really cool that I think neither of us would have assembled on our own.
Fantastic pics by Acha, and outfit details, can be found at her blog as per usual.
And just to underline the importance of the request Acha made on her own blog, let me take this opportunity to also beg posemakers for more mirrored pose sets! These from LAP are awesome, but we neeeed variety. Need, I tell you!
