Wandering Around Lost

The wonderfully striped and gothy Lost and Damned dress from Sn@tch comes in a pack with red, purple, or black.  (The gothic rainbow, as it were.)

I love this outfit so much… it really suits me.  And there’s something very pleasing to me about how well the buckles on the corset, the boots, and the collar all match.

The jewelled ankh (also from Sn@tch) changes colors with a click, so it can also be matched quite easily.

Also of note is the newish Fader hair from Gritty Kitty.  Oh Gritty Kitty hair, how I love thee.  Truly, you can do no wrong.

Electro-Kitty

I’m not sure what impresses me more about Schadenfreude:  Allegory’s edgy-cute rockstar aesthetic, or her precise technical skill.  Her latest creation, the aptly named Electro-Cute, demonstrates both by the bucketful.  I’m modelling the skully set (of course,) but there is also an octopus, bird, bat, owl, dragon, alligator, goldfish, and elephant in candy-cute color combinations.  As we’ve gloriously come to expect, there are also all kinds of options and layers.

I was searching for the perfect thing to wear with this adorable dress, when I remembered the Cat-Person Parts from Mutation Industries that I’d been meaning to pick up for some time now.  After searching through numerous inworld locations with no luck, I finally located them on XStreet, so I’ve included the link with the SLurls after the cut.

The hair is from Deviant Kitties, a Hair Fair selection that I never got around to blogging and which is now in her shop.  The right side is scripted to texture change, with what appears to be every color she offers.

Fair Fantasy

So… I kind of suck.  I’ve been trying to get to a post on the Fantasy Faire all week, and I haven’t been able to until now.

Well, better late than never.  With only 3 days to spare, I can finally post some of my favorite finds.

6-17-09_1

Sharp strips of fabric, lush tufts of fur, exposed midriff from neck to belly, and some of the most voluminous pants I’ve ever worn… this is Trap’s unique and dramatic Ghost Hakama outfit.  I don’t even know how to classify this ensemble, but I love the edgy feeling it gave me to wear it.

Kitheres’ Breanne coat in black, with its shiny, textured leather that you want to reach out and touch.  I just love the interesting sworls and symbol embellishments.

The cool boots (Caverna Obscura) and wings (Material Squirrel) were also obtained from the Fantasy Faire, althought I don’t believe either are new releases.

Over at Illusions, Siyu has reissued her wildly popular prim ears to include texture-matching to many popular skin brands.  If you’ve hesitated to try them out before because of the difficulty of matching to the skin of your choice, you should hop on over and give them another try.  I’m a happy Mourna, because all of the newest Nomine lines are in the match list.

Decked in stripes with Achariya

When the notice for this fantastically striped Voltaire Suit went out yesterday from Silent Sparrow, I hopped over almost immediately.  Of course, I ran into Achariya there. :D

Seeing how super-hot Boi Acha looked in the leather color, how could I resist posing for a set with him?

Boi-Acha is wearing the new Sylvan guy skins from Nomine, due to be released soonish-like.  Let me tell ya, my boy alt is chomping at the bit to try these out.  They look to be every bit as impressive as the female Sylvans.

Strange Sister

After Grady’s fantastic last post, I tripped over myself in an effort to rush over to Nomine.  I can’t believe I missed this new product announcement.   Munch’s new dresses are daring and awesome.  Alternately swathing you in beautifully textured black fabric, or exposing your bits through a thin scrim of  gauze or fishnet.  (For this photo set, I’ve doubled up the gauze layers to make them more opaque.)

These cool tentacles from Gauze wiggle and lash about with a life of their own.  Hard to photograph, but so much fun to wear.

This ensemble reminded me of some of the cool costumery from The Cell, so I decided to show off this mask from FallnAngel.  It’s an oldie, but still a goodie.

For the next few posts, I’m going to be focusing on poses from some of my favorite shops.  Today’s poses are from AnaLu.  If you’re looking for natural-looking poses that don’t distort the clothing, it doesn’t get any better.

Many <3s to Zorena for letting me use her gorgeous home as a backdrop.  Among other reasons.

Hearts & Skulls, Oh My!

This cute top from <<Discord>> is actually the top of a babydoll dress.   The dress is cute-as-a-button, but try as I might, I can never get babydolls to work except in still photos.  Someone else with less junk in their proverbial trunk might be able to have better results than I.  But at only 99 $L, the set is totally worth it just for the top.  The sculpted cuffs also utilize a cool new click-to-change-the-shape system that <<Discord>> has implemented in many of their sculpted cuffs and collars.

Since the top was made to go with a dress/glitch-pants, it did come up a little short.   I’ve extended the bottom using one of the ingenious clothing-layer belts from PixelDolls.  These things are really a lifesaver;  you can wear them on top as a waist-wrap, or peeping out from under it can give the appearance of a woven edging.

I adore jacket-layer suspenders, and these from Armidi are only the second pair I’ve ever found.

2-24-09_2

The skin I’m wearing was a Valentine dollarbie from Imagen.  I saw a notice that it will only be available through tomorrow, so you’d better hurry and grab it.

Lush Vagabond

I love it when things come together so perfectly.  The lush red of this kilt matched the gloves matched the corset so perfectly, they look like they were made for each other. <3

2-17-011

This kilt is enticingly constructed of strips of matching fabric scraps, giving it a gypsy bohemian feel.  The entire right side is open, but the matching velvet pants peep through so that you never quite know if you’re seeing a flash of  leg or a swish skirt.  Perfect for belly dances.

The arm bells were actually made for the ankles, but since I wanted to wear some chunky boots from Dark Eden, I copied a set and popped them onto my arms.

2-17-021

This is one of my favorite ultra-long hairs I’ve ever seen.  I’m usually not a fan of all the clipping through the body, but this one falls and moves in such a way that I quite enjoy it.  And the metal adornments can be hidden with a voice command.
