I’ve been a bit out of the shopping habit lately, but I recently made up for it and then some at the PixelDolls sale.  Everything is L$ 50 or less!  But I’m not sure how long this sale will last, so get your butt over there if you haven’t already been.

The long skirts from PixelDolls are always some of my favorites.  The glitch-pants are well textured and mesh with the prims extremely well.  They’re flowy and slimline with no bulky prims.  They fit me almost directly out of the box.  And my favorite bit?  Neph never uses alpha textures on her long skirts, so there  is never any interference from shoe invisiprims.

During my recent shopping binge, I also stopped by the Skin Fair. I’m kind of a freebie snob, but I had to grab the dollarbies offered there from Imagen.

Imagen skins are lovely, and I adore all the imperfections like beauty marks and stray freckles.  I have to especially commend them for their excellent freebies.  As a matter of fact, the freebies and dollarbies I’ve picked up at Imagen have been some of my favorite skins from that shop.

The Skin Fair will continue until November 22, and is well worth visiting.

Also of note:  these amazing bracelets from Mandala.  I don’t usually go for no-mod accessories, but I couldn’t resist these gorgeous bronze lotuses.

I dropped by G Field to find a pretty necklace, and spotted these great ankle boots.  Even though they don’t really show in the pictures, I love to see a cool boot peeking out from under a long skirt when I walk.   I’ve tinted these to match the outfit better, and gods bless one of the few shops who still offer modifiable shoes. <3

While I was searching for Mutation Industries a few days ago, I happened across Tokushi Avatars.  Besides some really beautiful full creature avatars in a slew of  fantastical designs, they had… these pants.  They were the only clothes that I saw in the shop, but I loved them and bought them in quite a few colors.  All kinds of styles are included.  Shown with the bloomer bottoms, they also had straight hems, and even a belt with a leather tail guard for you nekos out there.  Male and female sizes.

My first thought when I put on the pants was that I had to have one of Fade Dana’s fantastic helmets with this outfit.  They really are amazing…. she somehow manages to make these huge, heavy helmets still feel very feminine and sexy.  And the textures and sculpt work are absolutely top notch.  Expect to see some outfits styled around some of her more ornate selections in the future.

Bird on a Wire

Two more new hair fair acquisitions, and two older Silent Sparrow releases to remind you about hyasynth’s stupendous half-off sale!  If you haven’t availed yourself to this bargain yet, you’ll have to hurry.  Sale ends tonight at midnight.

Edit:  Apparently the sale ends tomorrow.  Wednesday, 6/24/09.  Whoops!

The “Cog Mistress” hair from The Stringer Mausoleum was just too perfect a match for Silent Sparrow’s “Toxine” suit.  And the cog hair ornaments are a separate attachment, so you can wear the hair without them.

Mourna a blonde!? That might just be one of the signs of the apocalypse.

I always have the most difficult time choosing my colors at Silent Sparrow. They’re all so beautiful and rich, I stand there in a muttering little flutter of indecision for what seems like an eternity.  Then I usually default to my standard red or black for easier mix-and-matching.  But this great sale as afforded me the opportunity to pick up some different colors than my norm, as seen above.

Hearts & Skulls, Oh My!

This cute top from <<Discord>> is actually the top of a babydoll dress.   The dress is cute-as-a-button, but try as I might, I can never get babydolls to work except in still photos.  Someone else with less junk in their proverbial trunk might be able to have better results than I.  But at only 99 $L, the set is totally worth it just for the top.  The sculpted cuffs also utilize a cool new click-to-change-the-shape system that <<Discord>> has implemented in many of their sculpted cuffs and collars.

Since the top was made to go with a dress/glitch-pants, it did come up a little short.   I’ve extended the bottom using one of the ingenious clothing-layer belts from PixelDolls.  These things are really a lifesaver;  you can wear them on top as a waist-wrap, or peeping out from under it can give the appearance of a woven edging.

I adore jacket-layer suspenders, and these from Armidi are only the second pair I’ve ever found.

The skin I’m wearing was a Valentine dollarbie from Imagen.  I saw a notice that it will only be available through tomorrow, so you’d better hurry and grab it.
