Strange Pixels

Just sneaking in with a quickie post tonight, because I know I won’t have another chance until after Thanksgiving.  Ugh, I will be so happy when this holiday is over.  And if I never see another turkey again, it’ll be too soon.

The skin is new from Deviant Kitties, where they have released some beautiful skin tones with cool, edgy makeups.

The Shredder tank is from Plastik, and is offered in their usual variety of juicy colors and patterns.  The great shredded pattern continues up the back, but I somehow missed getting a picture from the back… sorry bout that.  :\

I love this skirt from Schadenfreude, with its amazing little coffin, batwing, and skull details.

The Footwear Expo is in town, and not to be missed are these killer Ankou boots from Lazy Places.  LP was one of my favorite finds from last year’s Expo, and they’ve wowed me again this year by releasing a digiboot with a human style foot.  Aren’t these awesome?

The delectable Io Zeno recently sent me scurrying off to Reasonable Desires, after stunning the New Year’s Eve assembly with one of their lovely costumes.

RD is one of those places I’ve heard about, but never seemed interested enough in to meander over and check them out.

Well, that was silly of me.  They really do have some great costumes and lingerie, and you can’t argue with the prices.

This getup, called “Burlesque,” comes in just about any color you could want.

Now, I’m a boot girl.  I don’t even think I’ve blogged any shoes before.  But I was all over these awesome skully shoes from Canimal.   And twitchy as it makes me to show a closeup of the atrocity that is the SL avatar ankle, you just gotta see these:

Do not attempt to adjust your monitors.  I am, in fact, a neko today.

Blame Whirligig, perhaps.  Featuring a cuddly critter in my last post gave me fuzzy-tail-envy.

Or maybe blame the many coffees laced with Baileys that I’ve imbibed so far.

I’m a bad kitty up to nefarious deeds, and this new(ish) Magician’s Belt from Dark Eden holds all my sneaky feline potions and spells.

If I actually owned a cat, I could probably come up with some witty cat-themed magic here.  Elixir of hairball in your shoe?  Essence of sharpening claws on the back of your favorite chair?  I’m drawing a blank here.  Feel free to leave suggestions.

Anyone who knows me probably knows that I’m almost obsessed with the Hindu pantheon.  So, there has been a post about Indian fashions brewing in my skull since I started this blog.  I assumed it would be about one of the beautiful sari or Indian jewelry sets available.

Then I ran across the Devata set at Sn@tch.

Punk Hindu!  squee!  Seriously, squee.

There is also a long sari-style skirt in the set, but I decided to punk it up a little further with a skirt from Hexed, and a pair of scrunchy legwarmers from Stellar Designs (which I’ve modded to match the top.)

My first stop for punky hair is always Magika, and this was a new-to-me style that I was delighted to find.   I had to show you the back, because the long glossy style is just too yummy.

Now I must warn you that the Devata tops are belly shirts.  Not being a big fan myself, I dug around in my inventory and found a long striped undershirt from Dutch Touch to wear underneath.

This set comes with 6 different tops, each featuring a different Hindu deity.  Which is good, because who wants to have to choose between the gods?

The featured black is Kali, who holds a special place in my heart.   There’s also a hot pink Lakshmi, a golden Ganesha, a blue Shiva, a light pink Vishnu, and a purple Tara.

Inventory diving tonight… you know what that means?

Sometimes magic happens; sometimes I turn out looking like a goth hobo.

I leave it to you to decide where this falls.

You really have to see this dress in action to fully realize how well it’s made.  My usual gripe with babydoll-type dresses is the little fact of your booty popping out of it every time you move.  But this dress is attached in three places, so it moves with you quite well.  It flutters nicely, with minimal glitch.

The cuteness of it was too much, I had to have freckles.   Cue Tuli, and an adorable skin that I don’t have oppoortunity to wear nearly enough.  Because I’m so freakin’ serious-face all the time.
