The WILD.Released Stamp Hunt started today!

I want to showcase two more of the superb prizes available to the persevering hunter and stamper.

3-20-10_1

The Tale of Snow White, from Studio Sidhe.   More than just a simple pose prop, this fairytale glass coffin launches a beautifully staged series of tableaux.

(Also a really good excuse to get kissy-close to the rawry boy-Acha, my handsome prince <3.  For a better look at Acha’s dashing threads, head over to her blog.)

3-20-10_2

Aaaaaand the gorgeous Varda Rose Crown, from Illusions!  Of course Siyu spoils us with scripted texture-change leaves and petals.  And not in just humdrum regular rose colors, oh no.  These are stunning bi-colors and fades, delicate and touchably realistic.

Mosey on over to the WILD.Released blog to find a list of participating designers and instructions on how to play!

Many cool things to show you today.

Firstly, a super-closeup of my mug to show off the new peepers.  Poetic Colors has released a series of fairy-tale inspired eyes, all in luminescent, ethereal colors.  I am in freakin’ love with this set.  All available with or without a glowing golden ring around the iris, a light or dark outer eyeball, and a matching glow prim to attach to each eye.  They’re gorgeous and hypnotic.

I went a little curly crazy today, but Silent Sparrow’s amazing new(ish) Gloomy line just inspired me.  There are so many pieces available: suits, jeans, different skirt styles, jackets, corsets.  All sporting lovely Burton-esque gothic curls in Hya’s usual compliment of rich, deep colors.  In this post I’m wearing the shrug jacket and the kilt-style skirt.

The hair and necklace I’m wearing today were picked up on 50L Friday.  I adore the idea of 50L Fridays, but unfortunately my schedule rarely allows me to take part. :\ Happily, I was able to sneak inworld for  a bit last Friday night, and I see now that I’m going to have to try every week.  Such an awesome haul!  I feel a little bad blogging some of those things now, but everything is still available in a different color and/or at regular price.  And honestly, I would have paid full price for any of these things.

More fantastic new boots from Lazy Places, available at the 2009 Footwear Expo. I love love love these boots!  They give you all the coolness of the animal-leg style boot, but with a sleeker, sexy, feminine shape.  Lazy Places continues to push forward in their niche, and put out some really awesome, innovative footwear.   I’m always excited to see what they have to offer.

No turkey for me, thanks.

Just sneaking in with a quickie post tonight, because I know I won’t have another chance until after Thanksgiving.  Ugh, I will be so happy when this holiday is over.  And if I never see another turkey again, it’ll be too soon.

The skin is new from Deviant Kitties, where they have released some beautiful skin tones with cool, edgy makeups.

The Shredder tank is from Plastik, and is offered in their usual variety of juicy colors and patterns.  The great shredded pattern continues up the back, but I somehow missed getting a picture from the back… sorry bout that.  :\

I love this skirt from Schadenfreude, with its amazing little coffin, batwing, and skull details.

The Footwear Expo is in town, and not to be missed are these killer Ankou boots from Lazy Places.  LP was one of my favorite finds from last year’s Expo, and they’ve wowed me again this year by releasing a digiboot with a human style foot.  Aren’t these awesome?

Miss November

I set out to create an “autumn fairy” ensemble, for a pinup calendar I’m taking part in.  (I’m Miss. November, if you’re wondering.)  So there I was, trying to think of where to begin, when the notice for this new Autumn Leaf Headpiece from Evie’s Closet falls into my lap.  Eureka!  And what do I see immediately upon rezzing?  This lovely fairy outfit in a variety of colors!  (I picked the red because of the Autumn color scheme, but it I was sorely tempted by the other colors as well.  They’re all quite lovely.)

Never has a themed shoot worked out so perfectly!

I love this set because of all the options, and I’ve tried to show most of them to you here.  Clothing layers from risque to modest, 4 different skirt styles, and a matching pair of wings.  The wings I’m wearing are not the ones from this set.  I chose a pair from Seven’s Selections because of the finer control they give me over animation, size, and flexiness.  However the matching wings are perfect, so I don’t want anyone to think I’m not wearing them because I didn’t like them.

Munchflower has released a line of Equinox skins at Nomine that are just too adorable, with a sprinkling of freckles across the bridge of the nose.  They come in a whole slew of lush makeup colors, and of course I’ll be showing more of them here in future posts because Munch is my skin goddess.

This leaf jewelry set from Shiny Things is an old favorite of mine, and I was very pleased to find out that my SLink feet could be worn with the matching anklets.

(And if you’re interested to see how my pinup turned out… *ahem* I ended up not wearing very much of the outfit. >.> )

Didja miss me? >.>

9-2-09_1

I’ve kinda sorta been on an impromptu semi-SL vacation lately.  I wish I could say I was off doing something productive.  But, no.  Not even a little bit.

Getting back into it just emphasizes for me how strange and elastic SL-time is.  I’ve only been away a few weeks, but I feel soo behind.  Bear with me for a bit, as I probably am going  to be blogging stuff that everyone has already seen.

Edited to add:  Ack!  Well I’ve just found out that apparently Rotten Toe is closed for the time being, and scheduled to open back up September 10th.  I’ll update the SLurl when they reopen.  Sorry bout that. :(  You see?  I’m totally out of the loop.

Quasi-Piratey

It seems like every time I admire what the lovely Juana Manuel is wearing lately, it comes from Violent Seduction.  When I finally had the time to shuffle myself on over, I discovered that it was the interesting Ikaru that I blogged a while back, rebranded and full of new awesome.  Most items are sold in full sets, but I feel like they just begged for mixing and matching.  So today I show you the fantastic bloomers from the Necromantic set, combined with the Aesthete Waistcoat from silentsparrow.  Under that, Schadenfreude’s fabulously versatile oxford in white.  I felt a quasi-piratey look coalescing, so I pulled out some lovely big French cuffs from a Gauze ensemble, and my favorite pirate belt from Illusions (which is definitely one of my wardrobe staples.)

I’ve been on the lookout for a pair of spats lately.  The closest I’ve been able to find are these boots from Refuge.  They are quite adorable, and conveniently scripted with a number of different colors and patterns.  But they are also attached to the shoes, and no-mod.  So if anyone sees any spats around, drop me a line, would you?  I am still on the hunt.

8-12-09_3

I saw this hair from Another Level on Dakota Lubitsch the other day, and I just fell in love with the way it twirls into two adorable little dollops on top of the head.

Last but not by any means least:  NEW EARS!  Yay!

SLink has released a darling series of elf ears in a variety of ear shapes and jewelry styles.  They come with the awesome SLink Omnihud.  If you’ve never seen it in action on their prim feet and shoes, it is just dead easy to use.  You can choose a greyscale or flesh colored texture base, then tint to match with an eyedropper much like the SL interface.  Where it excels over the SL interface is that you can store about a dozen of your color presets in quick-grab swatches.  So you only have to match them once to all your favorite skins.

Airship Pirate

You know, it’s funny.   Girls in SL have about ten times more available content than boys do.  And yet, when I see something cool that’s just for the boys, I throw a squalling jealous fit.  Such was the case when Winter Jefferson blogged Arcavim a while back.  After pouting for a few days, it occurred to me that the tops at least might also work for women.  So I hied  myself over forthwith, and lo and behold! I has new vests!

5-26-09_1

Because I’m only able to show you still pictures here, some of the coolness factor is leeched from this outfit.  Both the wings and the hat are full of awesome animated turny twisty bits and gears.  I urge you to check them out in the pixels.

5-26-09_2

This awesome belt from [NC] is full of all kinds of cool scripted options:  different metals, conch stones, and buttons and pins for the bag.  It’s also scripted for size, as well as being fully modifiable .  Ahhh, accessory bliss. <3

PS:  I was listening to Abney Park while photographing this set, to put me in the mood.  If you haven’t heard them… well why not?  They are awesome.   Start here, this song rocks.  The title of this post is also pulled from a song of theirs.  (Thanks Viv!)
